Meet the Giulia Swim Halter. Whole-garment knitted with Sorona yarn. Best paired with the Zan Swim Bottoms for a textured, thick but moldable, 90s-meets-naughty-aughties slam-dunk of a two piece swimmer. *Bonus* This halter is also most definitely a going out top.
We’ve been fielding requests for ARQ SWIM since the very first launch of our classic base-layers in 2018 and have been tentatively exploring possibilities since then. We have, and will continue to play with a lot of options, but last year we started exploring knitted swimwear (virtually zero waste!) and when our knitwear partner presented a better synthetic yarn (Sorona*) we felt excited to finally take the plunge!
100% Elasterell-P with Sorona.
*Sorona polymer is partially plant-based, which reduces reliance on fossil-based materials (the revolutionary Bio-PDO compound turns a formerly chemical process into an eco-efficient biological one). Sorona® is 37% plant based, using 30% less energy and emitting 50% less greenhouse gases as compared to the production of nylon from non-renewable resources. It’s more durable and colorfast than nylon and other synthetics (long-lasting swimsuit!), and has high-stretch and recovery without the use of spandex. Sorona is USDA certified and BioPreferred bio-based product, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certification.
